As many of you know, we originally published updates about Teresa’s experiences with leiomyosarcoma on CaringBridge.
But CaringBridge has limited privacy options, and we had no way to share information there while hiding it from a specific user (a neighbor whom we absolutely did not want to have information on Teresa, or be able to visit her anywhere). The upshot was all of the CB posts were moved to a private site which required users to login to read and comment.
It’s been almost 2.5 years since Teresa passed away, and as such, it no longer matters if that neighbor sees those posts.
We also know, from our experience when Teresa was first diagnosed, that these kinds of updates can potentially be very helpful to someone who has just learned they have LMS, or another type of sarcoma. So Amanda decided to import them all over to this public site. The posts from CB will be tagged with a category to help you see which ones are from those updates vs which ones were part of T’s original journal site.
